EverMind Counselling Psychotherapy

About Me

My approach to therapy is practical and rational. Along with an M.Sc. degree in Applied Psychology - Counselling and Psychotherapy (Madras University), I have an advanced certification in Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (Albert Ellis Institute, New York).

My professional experiences in the past include those of being an English language teacher (CELTA certification, British Council and Cambridge University), a content developer at a corporate company in the travel domain and a tattoo artist.

Listening to the client without judgement and collaboration between the client and the therapist are at the centre of my therapy sessions.

About Mental Health

The WHO constitution declares in its preamble, "Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity."

In the context of mental health, this clearly explains why we should not wait for situations to get out of hand before seeking help. We do not need to have a "syndrome" or a "disorder" to benefit from counselling and psychotherapy. Seemingly insignificant irritations and unhealthy patterns can build up over time to negatively affect our daily functioning.

Silly, weird, difficult, unbearable or horrible — however you describe your disturbances and problems — they need to be addressed. When something is important to you, it's important to talk about it.
